A GAMBLING pro has invented a lottery algorithm that can help players pick the scratch cards that have a higher chance of winning.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jared James launched\u00a0Lotto Edge\u00a0<\/a>in 2019 \u2013 a tool that\u2019s designed to give gamblers an advantage when it comes to the game of chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Researchers behind the algorithm study data as they recommend the lottery <\/a>tickets that players should buy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts use technology to compare the odds of winning a prize across a range of different games daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The algorithm also identifies when prizes are due to be won.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

James told\u00a0WCNC<\/a>: \u201cRight now when people buy tickets, they\u2019re going out and saying that\u2019s a pretty looking ticket or this one feels lucky. They have no idea what they\u2019re buying.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe analyze data that people didn\u2019t even realize existed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some states such as\u00a0North Carolina<\/a>\u00a0are mandated by law to release data linked to each scratch-off game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WCNC reporter Savannah Levins studied the data and bought two tickets with high odds of success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The journalist managed to win $10 and $30 on the games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, a player, known as Bridget, said she won $100 after she used Lotto Edge before buying tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experts have warned that using the algorithm doesn\u2019t guarantee a lottery win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tool isn\u2019t available in states such as\u00a0Utah\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0Alabama\u00a0<\/a>as playing the lottery is illegal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, self-proclaimed lottery pro Joey Adelman has suggested games players should avoid.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He claimed that a scratch-off labeled $50, $100, or $500 has the worst odds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said: \u201cThese tickets right here, or anything named like this (with cash prize numbers) is the worst odds of winning,” with just a one in eight chance.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“That’s the worst of any ticket, no other ticket is even close to that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a TikTok <\/a>clip, he explained: \u201cThe best chances of winning if you spend the most money.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Essa, a math teacher who creates “a range of statistics and calculus videos” on YouTube, also shared some numbers secrets on winning scratchers.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essa claimed she uses theories “based on science, probability, and math” to share tricks on how to win off scratch tickets<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She urged players to make sure the card they purchase actually has prizes remaining to win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, Essa suggested that one of the easiest ways to improve your chances of winning is to buy tickets in bulk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winning a prize on the lottery can be difficult but it\u2019s not impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas Fotopoulos, of Alabama<\/a>, won a $1million prize<\/a> after playing the Florida lottery for 30 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, a first-time lottery player, from\u00a0Maryland<\/a>,\u00a0won $50,000 on a scratchcard<\/a>, defying odds of three million to one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
