JLBN – Windows Apache MySQL PHP – WAMP

I have installed wampserver and while clickin on phpMyadmin its showing two warnings:

1.The additional features for working with linked tables have been deactivated.

2.Your PHP MySQL library version 5.0.51a differs from your MySQL server version 5.1.36. This may cause unpredictable behavior.

How should i deal with above warnings?..plz help.

Sajjad, in your .htaccess file(s), you have to setup Allow rules for those pc’s ip; however, before doing so, try to rename/remove your .htaccess file(s) to see if you still encounter the same problem đŸ˜‰

I have followed your step by step instruction for setting up virtual host with WAMP but when I am trying to access from computer2 its showing Forbidden (you don’t have permission to access / on this server)

I also check the log file which I created as per your instructions there I found
[Thu May 06 12:07:29 2010] [error] [client 10.10.10.101] client denied by server configuration: C:/wamp/www/domain/

I will appreciate your quick reply

You have been a great help via the wamp forum, if you recognize I am the one re-installing wamp to try and get it working.

Last time I downloaded 2.0i from sourceforge, this time from here.

If I hadn’t known the version when I went to the downloads page I would have been lost.

So just a suggestion for the future, information to determine what version to use.

    Incredible resource here, thanks

Thank you very much for the WampSSL download.

This allows me to test our development 100% isolated from production.

    Thanks.

hi ive encountered the same prob as a few others ( yellow background) and it concerns me that known good programs such as Eset’s Nod32 ( onE of the best av programs around) needs dissabling to make the server work, surely that cant be right ?? and is it something anyones working on??
strange thing is my first installed worked fine, i only had to reinstall it because I cocked up the password issue before finding your guide …

glenn, it’s NOT disable but need to add exception for wamp in Eset’s Nod32; however, most people don’t know how to do it, so the easiest way is uninstall both wamp and Eset’s Nod32, remove wamp folder, restart pc, then reinstall Eset’s Nod32 AFTER and WHILE wamp is running

I’m trying to use Drupal with wampserver, and got the error addressed here: http://drupal.org/node/594792. Searching for older versions of wampserver brought me here. It’s really great that you have them. It would be helpful to me if you included some information about what is different between the versions. In my case, I’m looking for one with an older version of PHP.

Thanks again for having the versions!

    hi,
i got WAMP installed and i am able to run sites from the www folder.
BUT i have been trying to install MODX and get it to work, with no success.

have you been able to or have you tried MODX with WAMP and succeeded?

my catch point is the db connection check, i cant proceed beyond that.
