omething that many American citizens probably don’t know, is that the Social Security Administration is going to roll out a Social Security Supplemental Income this summer. All SSI recipients are getting $841 payments that will help then navigate the complicated landscape of the American Economy.

Inflation is finally starting to lower but that doesn’t mean many Amrican families aren’t still going through a tough time. Literally millions of citizens are about to get a direct payment in the coming weeks. There is a maximum monthly federal SSI payment for an eligible person, which is $841. But there are also recipients with eligible spouse, they get $1,261 per month. An essential person will get $421.

Individuals need to have no more than $2,000 and couples can have up to $3,000 in assets. To those who aren’t aware, the upcoming round of payments will take place on August 1. In 2022, the monthly amounts for the following year are calculated when they multiply the current year’s unrounded annual amounts by the COLA effective in January of the next year.

Once they get the new unrounded sums, those are then divided by 12 and rounded down to the next lower multiple of $1. People need to beware of scams because there are con people who can take a lot of money from unsuspecting citizens. Most of these scams are through the phone and they mostly involve blackmail or false threats of prison time if they don’t comply.
