JLBN – Setup Forums PHPBB3 on WAMP
In this Install & Setup Forum Guide for WAMP users, we will show you how to install and setup phpBB with version 3.0 is used in this tutor guide.
Note: Even this guide is used for Wampserver, you can apply this method on other wamp package such as Xampp, EasyPHP, so on. Just make sure to select correct file(s) in proper location(s) 😉

Where is the Most Common Error Section of the WAMP setup guide you that’s mentioned in step 11. I keep getting the error (#2003 – Can’t connect to MySQL server on ‘localhost’ (10061)) when I try to open pHpMyAdmin. Further if someone can help resolve this issue please do so.

Donald, make sure you’ve already set exception for wamp in all firewalls/antivirus, search and delete any file my.ini outside wamp folder, and the path for phpmyadmin in file phpmyadmin.conf is correct, …
there are many things to list, so try these first 😉
The directions were, as are the rest of the setup guides, excellent with on exception. The last step should be too remove the ‘install’ folder from within the phpBB3 directory.

Which install directory is it on about?
After finished installation, you should rename/remove folder install in folder phpbb 😉
you need to setup the correct path to the file my.ini for mysqladmin to work properly 😉

but unfortunately i got an error while trying to install phpBB3 using ur guideline.the error said–>
“Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, admin@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.”
what should i do now?pls help me. i’ve made a new user for the database phpbb3 as described. but i didn’t make any tables.is it the reason for error?if yes,then which tables should i create?pls help me….
